The Happy Dragonfly

Once upon a time, there lived a small, bright blue dragonfly. His name was Bill and he had a nice family. Bill had a brother called Callum. Callum was a wonderful brother, but he was always busy with work. This meant that Bill was very lonely. He needed someone to play with.

One day, Bill followed his dad to work down at the river. For a while, Bill buzzed around, having fun and looking at the flowers. Just then, Bill heard a sound. "Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm."
"I wonder what that noise is" thought Bill. He decided to follow the sound and see what it was.

Week 1

We had a SUPER busy two days in Darwin Dragonflies class. We began on Wednesday, by introducing ourselves to our four new students. Bradley, Dylan, Joshua and Leon are a fantastic addition to our class and we are already making really good friends with them.

We got stuck right in to school work when Mrs Bensly gave us a spelling test and today we had to write a bit about what we did on the holidays. Mrs Richards did some reading with us too. We explored the classroom and tested out the books and the toys. We are super lucky because Mrs Connell has given us some of her daughter's old toys and they are great!

We had a bit of sad news too, when we discovered that two of our classmates weren't coming back to Peterhouse. We were sad for us, but glad for them as they have moved house and travelling to Peterhouse would take a looooong time every day. We wish them all the best and won't forget them!
