Dear Parents/Carers,
We are planning a sleepover at school to help us with our unit on Light and Dark. We usually have a sleepover in the summer term, but as it is too light then, we have decided to move it to winter. We are thinking of doing it before February half term, but are not yet sure of a date.
Children will go home from school as usual on the day (probably a Friday), giving the adults time to set up and arrange things in school. The children will return to school at about 4.30pm, through the front door. We'll do activities and fun things into the evening.
We will give the children dinner (and snacks!) as well as breakfast the next day.
We will be sleeping, altogether, in the hall, where we will watch a film before going to sleep. Children will need to bring a sleeping bag and pillow, as well as pyjamas. They will also be allowed to bring a stuffed toy to help them sleep! No iPods, phones, DSIs or other games, etc are allowed. We will also ask that they bring a torch.
Any thoughts on our plan Parents?
ReplyDeleteI think it's a lovely idea, much better to do it now while it's still dark early otherwise they will all be up all night talking.
ReplyDeleteLucky dragonflies!! It sounds as if you will all have a fantastic time. What a great way to learn.
